Job summary

Commercial Bank of Dubai seeks a seasoned Banking professional to manage the Emerging Corporate portfolio and acquire new relationships. You will grow banking relationships across Trade, Working Capital and Treasury products, while ensuring adherence to credit standards and timely reviews.

The role requires 7–10 years in Business banking with UAE exposure and strong client-facing and negotiating skills.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Business banking (Trade and Working Capital).
• 3–5 years exposure to Commercial Banking in the UAE.
• Understanding ofTrade and Working Capital products is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned Emerging Corporate portfolio to retain and grow relationships.
• Identify, solicit and acquire new Emerging Corporate clients following approved growth plans.
• Negotiate credit lines aligning with underwriting standards and risk targets.

Job Purpose:

Manage existing credit portfolio of Emerging Corporate customers in addition to acquiring new relationships to achieve overall assigned financial targets.

Principal Accountabilities:

Maintain & manage an assigned portfolio with existing Emerging Corporates clients to retain & grow their banking relationships in a profitable manner and in line with assigned business growth targets.

Identify, solicit and acquire new Emerging Corporate clients in line with approved growth plan for Assets, Liabilities, Trade and Treasury income.

Negotiate appropriate credit lines in conformity with the Bank’s credit underwriting standards and risk adjusted targets after thorough analysis of information necessary for the preparation of a detailed credit proposal.

Conduct regular visits to clients for both monitoring and business generation purposes. Such visits to be recorded by way of call reports which are to include all pertinent information in a timely manner.

Conduct account planning & cross selling other products & services to Emerging Corporate clients to ensure multi-product relationship and greater Share of wallet. Facilitating other lines of business by exploiting business opportunities through referrals to other segments.

Establish effective & professional communication (both internal and external) to ensure turnaround time within designated parameters and higher client satisfaction levels.

Ensure timely and accurate credit administration through timely completion of annual reviews and regular monitoring of financial, covenants and other parameters within the review cycle.

Comply with internal audit requirements in line with the policy guidelines, to ensure high standards of uniformity and consistency across the Bank

Keep abreast of developments in the local business environment to spot business opportunities. Contribute to the planning process to develop corporate business strategies.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

7 – 10 years of experience in Business banking ( Trade and Working Capital) with 3-5 years of exposure to Commercial Banking in the UAE. Ideally incumbent should have had exposure to one or more emerging markets.

Business acumen and ability to prepare plans and strategies are essential.
