Job summary

AECOM in Dubai, United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Construction Manager specializing in civils and rail projects to oversee cut & cover tunnels and civil works. You will manage site activities, ensure schedule adherence, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure programs.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years in similar construction management positions, with strong leadership, risk and contract management skills, and knowledge of UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in construction management, rail design/consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee civil works and rail construction activities from start to finish.
• Ensure progress aligns with contractor schedules and project plan.
• Monitor labor, equipment, and tools availability and compliance with UAE laws.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning per PM process.
• Secure permits and manage contract-related risks and claims.
• Produce status reports for management and client stakeholders.
• Lead safety program development and site safety oversight.
• Coordinate with contractors to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Support planning, design, and construction management activities daily.
