Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimating, budgeting and reporting for major infrastructure projects. The role requires extensive experience, including knowledge of cost planning, lifecycle costs and contractor/payment reviews.

Applicants should have a QS degree, MRICS is a plus, and strong English skills; Arabic is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Primavera Contracts Manager is desirable.

Qualifications

• BSc Quantity Surveying is required.
• MRICS membership is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years total experience in QS.
• Minimum 10 years in a similar role.
• Minimum 5 years in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of buildings, civil infra projects and utilities.
• Experience with cost estimating, cost planning and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel; Primavera Contracts Manager is a plus.
• Fluent English; Arabic speaking advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain estimates, budgets, cost reports and cashflows.
• Review variation requests and provide recommendations.
• Review interim payments from consultants and contractors.
• Review bids and contract award reports.
• Estimate value engineering options and lifecycle costs.
• Analyse cost reports and cash flows of consultants and contractors.
• Coordinate with package managers, consultants and contractors.
• Prepare monthly and weekly project reports.
