Job summary

INFYA living is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor in Dubai to lead commercial activities across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, retail, fit out and turnkey projects.

The ideal candidate will manage cost estimation, budgets, tendering, procurement and final accounts while protecting project margins and supporting projects from tender stage through to final close out.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of Quantity Surveying and Commercial experience, preferably in the UAE
• Strong experience in interior fit out, residential, commercial and retail projects
• Experience with high-end or complex turnkey projects is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of BOQs, tendering, contracts, variations, claims, procurement and final accounts
• Excellent knowledge of project costing and commercial management
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design and technical drawings

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
• Review tender and RFQ documentation and support competitive commercial submissions
• Develop project budgets and monitor actual cost vs. approved budget
• Prepare and evaluate quotations, variations, change orders and claims
• Prepare monthly valuations, progress claims and project cost reports
• Manage subcontractor and supplier commercial evaluations, comparisons and negotiations
• Review and certify subcontractor payment applications
• Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization
• Maintain accurate project cost forecasting and highlight potential commercial risks early
• Coordinate with Project Management, Production, Procurement, Design and Finance teams
• Support commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Manage project commercial close out and final accounts
• Ensure projects maintain targeted margins without compromising quality or delivery

INFYA is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, fit out and turnkey projects, as well as other project categories as required.

We are looking for someone who goes beyond measurement and BOQs, a strong commercial professional who can protect project margins, control costs and support projects from tender stage through procurement, execution and final account.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed quantity take offs, BOQs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender and RFQ documentation and support the preparation of competitive commercial submissions.
• Develop project budgets and continuously monitor actual cost vs. approved budget.
• Prepare and evaluate quotations, variations, change orders and claims.
• Prepare monthly valuations, progress claims and project cost reports.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier commercial evaluations, comparisons and negotiations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying and Commercial experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong experience in interior fit out, residential, commercial and retail projects.
• Experience with high end or complex turnkey projects will be a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of BOQs, tendering, contracts, variations, claims, procurement and final accounts.
• Excellent knowledge of project costing and commercial management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design and technical drawings.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
• UAE experience and a valid UAE driving licence would be advantageous.

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGE:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, MS Excel, MS Office and other relevant QS and cost management tools would be considered an advantage.

You should be someone who does not simply report costs after they occur, but actively helps the business forecast them, challenge them, negotiate them and protect project profitability.
