Job summary

The Talents Nation seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor in Abu Dhabi to lead cost estimation, tendering, and QS activities for interior fit-out and joinery projects. You will review drawings and specifications, seek value engineering opportunities, and manage subcontractor quotations to protect project profitability.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years UAE/GCC experience in Quantity Surveying
• Strong experience in interior fit-out and joinery across Commercial, Residential, Hospitality sectors
• Proficient in estimation, BOQ, tendering, valuations, variations, contract administration, procurement, and cost control
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, subcontractor pricing, and procurement
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and QS software with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, tender submissions, pricing, and quantity take-offs for interior fit-out and joinery projects
• Manage pre- and post-contract QS activities including cost planning, valuations, variations, contract administration, cost control, procurement support, and final account preparation
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and commercial risks while ensuring budget compliance
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations; prepare tender comparisons; monitor project costs and manage variations/change orders
• Coordinate with design, procurement, project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective commercial management and successful project delivery

Job Description:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, tender submissions, pricing, and quantity take-offs for interior fit-out and joinery projects, ensuring cost competitiveness and project profitability.
• Manage pre- and post-contract QS activities, including cost planning, valuations, variations, contract administration, cost control, procurement support, and final account preparation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering solutions, and commercial risks, while ensuring compliance with project budgets.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations, prepare tender comparisons, monitor project costs, and manage variations/change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective commercial management and successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, with 8-10 years of relevant UAE/GCC experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Mandatory strong experience in interior fit-out and joinery, with proven project experience across Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality sectors.
• Strong expertise in estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost planning, tendering, valuations, variations, contract administration, procurement, and cost control.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, subcontractor pricing, and procurement, with excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and QS/estimation software, with strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
