Job summary

Innovo Group is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead to head QA and control activities on assigned MEP projects, mentoring junior engineers and inspectors while ensuring robust implementation of the project quality plan.

You will conduct internal quality audits, manage NCRs, review inspection reports and material certificates, and drive process improvements with modern tools to enhance efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 6–8 years quality engineering experience in MEP construction.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and QA principles.
• Experience preparing and implementing Project Quality Plans, ITPs, method statements, inspection checklists, and quality procedures.
• Experience reviewing inspection requests, material submittals, test reports, commissioning records, and quality documentation.
• Strong experience in NCR management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Ability to prepare quality reports, audit reports, NCR logs, dashboards, and management summaries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Key Accountabilities

Quality Leadership

• Lead implementation of the project quality plan and ITPs across MEP disciplines.
• Conduct internal quality audits across site work fronts and report findings to the Quality Manager.

NCR Management

• Lead investigation and close-out of significant non-conformances.
• Analyse recurring NCR trends and propose corrective and preventive actions to site teams.

Mentoring

• Mentor Quality Engineers and Inspectors on inspection and documentation standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and refresher training on quality procedures and inspection checklists.

Inspection & Documentation

• Review inspection requests and test reports for completeness prior to consultant submission.
• Maintain quality records and ensure traceability of material certificates and test results.

Process Improvement

• Recommend updates to quality procedures and ITPs based on lessons learned from site execution.
• Support rollout of quality management system improvements across assigned projects.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
