Job summary

Innovo Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project programmes for MEP projects, tracking progress and identifying schedule risks to support timely delivery.

The role requires 4-6 years of planning experience in MEP or construction, with strong proficiency in Primavera P6. You will coordinate with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors to ensure programme accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 4–6 years of planning experience in MEP or construction.
• Strong Primavera P6 proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Update programmes with actual progress and support re-baselining activities.
• Track project progress against baseline; identify critical path delays and risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules.
• Support delay analysis and EOT claim preparation in coordination with the commercial team.
• Coordinate programme submissions and approvals with consultants and main contractors.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes to improve efficiency and transparency.

Role Purpose

To develop and maintain project programmes for Innovo MEP projects, tracking progress and identifying schedule risks to support timely project delivery

Key Accountabilities

• Programme Development
  • o Develop and maintain detailed project programmes in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • o Update programmes with actual progress and support re-baselining activities as directed.
• Progress Monitoring
  • o Track project progress against baseline; identify critical path delays and risks.
  • o Conduct site walks with engineers to verify reported progress against actual installation status.
• Reporting
  • o Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules.
  • o Issue programme compliance reports highlighting slippage to the Planning Manager and Project Manager.
• Delay Analysis
  • o Support delay analysis and EOT claim preparation in coordination with the commercial team.
  • o Maintain delay event registers and supporting programme evidence for claims substantiation.
• Stakeholder Coordination
  • o Coordinate programme submissions and approvals with consultants and main contractors.
  • o Liaise with subcontractors to obtain progress updates and incorporate them into the master programme.
• Innovation & Value Creation
  • o Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.
  • o Encourage innovative thinking to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality

• Minimum 4-6 years of planning experience in MEP or construction projects
• Strong Primavera P6 proficiency
• Good reporting, coordination, and site progress verification skills
