Job summary

Duruper invites applications for a Construction Quality Manager to lead QA/QC across Oil & Gas construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with project specs, codes, procedures, and quality standards, and provides leadership to QA/QC teams.

You will oversee welding, NDT, coating/painting, inspections, NCRs, audits, and handover dossiers, coordinating with construction, engineering, client and third-party inspectors. Fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years as QA/QC Manager or Quality Manager on Oil & Gas projects.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.
• Strong technical background in welding, NDT, and coating/painting.
• Proven experience managing QA/QC teams on major Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection processes, and project quality documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and decision-making abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall QA/QC function for construction activities on Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Plans, ITPs, inspection procedures, and QC processes.
• Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications, and project quality requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and other quality personnel.
• Monitor quality activities related to welding, NDT, coating/painting, fabrication, installation, and construction.
• Review inspection reports, test results, quality records, and documentation for compliance.
• Manage NCRs, corrective/preventive actions, observations, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Client, Consultant, and third-party inspection teams.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, surveillance, and site quality reviews.
• Prepare and compile quality dossiers and project handover documentation.
• Promote a strong quality culture and ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership in resolving quality issues and preventing recurrence.
