Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a Senior QA/QC Civil Engineer in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi region) to lead quality assurance and control across civil, structural, and finishing works. You will implement ISO 9001/QMS, review submittals, and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contracts.

The role requires 8+ years of GCC QA/QC experience, strong communication and documentation skills, and familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, and material approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Review and assess contractor submittals, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Material Approvals, and quality-related documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, surveillance, and quality audits to ensure civil, structural, and finishing works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitor construction activities across the full project lifecycle, including earthworks, concrete works, structural elements, and finishes, to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions; follow up on closure and effectiveness.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quality reports, inspection records, and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and other disciplines to ensure effective implementation of quality procedures and timely resolution of quality issues.
• Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance on the project.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant discipline) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a Supervision Consultant within the GCC region.
• Demonstrated QA/QC experience covering the full project lifecycle, including civil, structural, and finishing works, with strong exposure to ITPs, Method Statements, and Material Approvals.
• Certified Quality Professional (e.g., ASQ, CQI, IRCA) preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Candidates inside the UAE are preferred.Available immediately.
