Job summary

BESIX is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor in Ajman, UAE, to lead site survey operations with accuracy and innovation. Your role includes coordinating surveying activities and managing data integration with BIM.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in large-scale projects. You will work in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in large-scale construction projects; Tier 1 contractor experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of topographic calculations, benchmarks, and survey workflows.
• Excellent understanding of construction tolerances and setting-out methods.

• Lead and coordinate site surveying activities focusing on accuracy and dimensional control.
• Manage survey data and integrate outputs with BIM and QA/QC requirements.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Project Surveyor who can lead site survey operations with accuracy, agility, and a passion for innovation.

What Youll Do

• Lead and coordinate all site surveying activities with a focus on accuracy and dimensional control.
• Establish and maintain control networks and ensure precise settingout for structural architectural MEP and civil works.
• Conduct topographic and monitoring surveys (settlement, deformation, verticality) and prepare high‑quality as‑built documentation.
• Manage survey data and integrate outputs with BIM and QA/QC requirements.
• Supervise and mentor surveyors, ensuring strong planning, proper instrument handling, and safe practices.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical and site challenges efficiently.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying/Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
• 8 years experience in large‑scale construction projects; Tier 1 contractor experience is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and solid knowledge of topographic calculations, benchmarks and survey workflows both on‑site and in the office.
• Hands‑on experience using GPS total stations and level machines including regular instrument calibration and maintenance.
• Excellent understanding of construction tolerances, setting‑out methods and surveying best practices.
• Leadership capability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
