Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks an Assistant Surveyor to support senior surveyors in executing topographic, construction, boundary and as-built surveys, and to operate Total Stations, GPS and digital levels under supervision.

You will set up, calibrate and maintain survey instruments, record field data accurately, and contribute to site control networks while adhering to project timelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or Surveying required.
• 1–3 years in land/topographic/construction surveying.
• Experience with Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Willingness to work in field and learn for Senior Surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Surveyors in topographic, construction, boundary and as-built surveys.

• Record field data accurately, including control points, benchmarks and offsets.
• Carry out field measurements, leveling and data collection according to project requirements.
• Support the field team in establishing site control networks and setting out works.
• Ensure fieldwork is executed safely and efficiently within the project timeline.
• Report discrepancies, field issues or site constraints promptly to the Senior Surveyor.
• Assist in downloading and organizing raw survey data for processing and CAD drafting.
• Maintain daily work logs, instrument records and site documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or Surveying (or equivalent).
• Experience: 1–3 years in land/topographic/construction surveying.
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiar with Total Station and GPS equipment (Trimble / Leica preferred).
  • Basic understanding of leveling, coordinate systems and field data collection methods.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Soft Skills:
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in field conditions (desert, urban, coastal or mountain areas).
  • Eager to learn and grow into a Senior Surveyor role through on-site training and exposure.
