Job summary

AL ASHRAM CONTRACTING (L.L.C) is seeking a senior Land Surveyor to lead all surveying activities on major UAE projects. You will establish control networks, verify survey requirements, and ensure precise setting-out for buildings, roads, utilities and foundations.

The role requires 10–15+ years of experience with major contractors, expertise in setting-out and survey control systems, and leadership to guide a team of surveyors on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in land surveying or related discipline.
• Professional certification in surveying or geomatics is an advantage.
• Typically 10–15+ years of relevant surveying experience.
• Strong UAE/GCC construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, roads, utilities, or civil construction projects.
• Proven experience managing a team of surveyors on major construction projects.

Job description

• Lead and manage all land surveying activities across assigned construction projects
• Establish and maintain project survey control networks benchmarks and reference points
• Review and verify survey requirements and procedures before commencement of works
• Ensure accurate setting-out of buildings structures roads utilities and foundations
• Conduct and supervise topographical as-built boundary level alignment and dimensional surveys
• Carry out pre-pour post-pour structural architectural and MEP survey checks where required
• Verify completed works against approved drawings and design requirements
• Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control points throughout the project
• Ensure survey equipment is properly calibrated maintained and fit for purpose
• Conduct regular checks on survey control networks to identify movement and discrepancies
• Allocate survey resources according to project priorities and construction requirements
• Provide technical guidance coaching and support to surveying personnel
• Monitor team performance and ensure surveying activities are completed within project schedules
• Promote high standards of accuracy safety quality and professionalism within the survey team nbsp
• Support construction teams in resolving issues relating to coordinates levels and dimensions
• Participate in technical and coordination meetings as required
• Review survey reports drawings calculations and records before submission to consultants
• Maintain comprehensive survey records for project handover and final documentation
• Manage the effective use of strong Total Stations GNSS GPS Digital Levels 3D Laser Scanners drones UAVs and other modern surveying technologies strong where applicable
• Ensure survey equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained
• Identify and report survey-related non-conformities and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all survey deliverables
• Ensure survey teams use appropriate PPE and follow approved safe working procedures
• Participate in toolbox talks risk assessments and site safety initiatives where required
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Survey Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in surveying or geomatics is an advantage.
• Typically 10–15+ years of relevant surveying experience, preferably with major construction contractors in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, roads, utilities, or civil construction projects.
• Proven experience managing a team of surveyors on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction surveying, setting-out, as-built surveys, and survey control systems.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is highly desirable.
