Senior Project Manager – Exhibition Halls in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Construction opportunity responsible for delivering a major exhibition facilities package within a large-scale venue and infrastructure development programme. Parsons Corporation is hiring an accomplished project leader to direct design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, operational readiness, and handover while maintaining control of safety, quality, budget, schedule, and complex multidisciplinary interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the complete delivery of the exhibition halls package from detailed design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Establish package execution strategies, delivery priorities, interface protocols, and measurable performance targets.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, project controls teams, contractors, specialist vendors, and client representatives.
- Manage interfaces between structural works, building envelope, MEP systems, ICT, audiovisual technology, fit‑out, life safety systems, and surrounding infrastructure.
- Review design development to confirm alignment with operational objectives, technical requirements, authority standards, and approved project scope.
- Lead multidisciplinary design reviews, technical workshops, constructability assessments, and coordination meetings.
- Monitor programme activities, critical paths, procurement schedules, construction sequencing, and key package milestones.
- Assess project performance against approved cost, time, quality, safety, and productivity targets.
- Implement recovery plans and corrective actions when delivery performance falls behind agreed objectives.
- Support tendering, contractor selection, technical bid evaluation, specialist supplier engagement, and procurement recommendations.
- Administer contractor performance and provide leadership on contractual obligations, deliverables, notices, and technical compliance.
- Maintain commercial oversight of budgets, forecasts, variations, change requests, claims, and potential cost exposure.
- Identify delivery risks, operational constraints, design gaps, and construction interfaces before they affect the programme.
- Develop practical mitigation plans and elevate material risks through the appropriate project governance channels.
- Coordinate authority submissions, permits, inspections, approvals, and project clearances required for construction and operation.
- Ensure all activities follow approved quality plans, health and safety procedures, environmental controls, and project governance requirements.
- Lead regular progress meetings and provide accurate reporting on milestones, risks, decisions, costs, and key performance indicators.
- Oversee testing and commissioning strategies for building services, specialist systems, ICT networks, fire and life safety installations, and integrated controls.
- Coordinate operational readiness activities, user training, asset documentation, defect closure, and final acceptance processes.
- Review as‑built information, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, test certificates, and handover records.
- Mentor project team members and reinforce accountability, cooperation, technical discipline, and results‑focused delivery.
- Balance long‑term programme objectives with the immediate decisions required to keep multiple construction fronts progressing.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a relevant field is advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of experience managing complex construction, infrastructure, venue, or major capital development projects.
- Demonstrated success delivering significant work packages through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Experience managing exhibition halls, convention centres, large venues, mixed‑use developments, or similarly complex facilities is highly valuable.
- Strong command of design management, construction methodologies, procurement procedures, contract administration, and project controls.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architectural, structural, MEP, ICT, fit‑out, and infrastructure scopes.
- Commercial understanding of budgets, cost forecasting, variations, claims, change control, and contractor obligations.
- Practical knowledge of scheduling, risk management, quality systems, HSE controls, reporting, and project governance.
- Experience delivering phased construction in live, partially operational, or logistically constrained environments.
- Strong stakeholder leadership with the ability to influence clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
- Capacity to evaluate complex information, make timely decisions, and resolve competing technical or commercial priorities.
- Excellent written communication, meeting leadership, negotiation, and executive reporting skills.
- Ability to retain strategic oversight while remaining closely engaged with detailed package delivery.
