Job summary

al-majid in Dubai seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead interior fit-out ventures from scope to handover. You will supervise on-site execution, manage design coordination, procurement, and cost control, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

You will review drawings, approve material requisitions, coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers, and steer the bidding, submittal approvals, and progress reporting to achieve timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 8–12 years of interior fit-out project experience in UAE/GCC.
• Experience managing high-end commercial, hospitality, retail, residential & office fit-outs.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods and finishes.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of UAE standards, authorities, and HSE regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 / MS Project is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for the entire project management plan including scope, procurement, production, design, communication, project human resources, cost, time, risk, close out etc. To monitor and supervise the project execution process on site to ensure completion of the job and hand over the projects within specified timeframes in an organized and cost effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards so as to meet customer’s satisfaction and maintain continuity of the business. Examine drawings, assess the material requirements, approve and submit the material requisition accurately to facilitate purchase of appropriate quantities of materials. Operate and manage all the related contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers. Manage and follow up the enquiries and quoting process and verifying the technical aspect of quotes received from various vendors. Monitor and do the necessary follow up to ensure the earliest approval of the submittal. Manage and conduct the technical and commercial workshops, attending meetings with projects officials’s contractors and suppliers. Determine and manage the required reports to monitor and evaluate the project progress. Direct the planning department for production and installation program. Conduct quality checks on works carried out to ensure that the products meet all clients' specifications and adherence to the quality, health and safety regulations on all assigned sites. Operate, control and monitor project team performance and their productivity. Coordination between clients, site, sub-contractors and suppliers. Negotiation of prices with sub-contractors, suppliers, and various project stakeholders. Scrutinising the invoices received from sub-contractors based on the work done at site.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in interior fit-out projects within the UAE/GCC.
• Proven experience managing high-end commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, and office fit-out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Excellent understanding of architectural, MEP, and joinery coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority requirements, and HSE regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 / MS Project is an advantage.
