Job summary

Client of PER in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced investment professional to lead markets strategy and financial solutions. The role focuses on developing independent market views, actionable investment ideas, and tailored derivative solutions across macro themes and financial risks.

You will translate market views into portfolio hedging and funding recommendations, lead strategic discussions with treasury and senior teams, and contribute to governance of risk solutions in line with business

Qualifications

• Experience in cross-asset strategy investment solutions or derivatives structuring within a leading investment bank or institutional investor.
• Experience developing portfolio hedging and tail-risk strategies in an institutional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to translate market views into portfolio investment funding and hedging recommendations.

What the job involves

• Markets strategy amp financial solutions develop independent market views and generate actionable investment ideas across macroeconomic themes and financial risks such as FX rates commodities and equities supported by fundamental analysis quantitative tools and scenario analysis
• Transaction structuring amp execution develop implementation strategies for approved investment ideas portfolio recommendations and financial risk solutions
• Financial risk solutions strategy amp governance contribute to the development and execution of the financial risk solutions strategy in line with business objectives and risk appetite
• Stakeholder leadership amp capability development establish trusted relationships with treasury leadership investment teams and business units providing independent market perspectives actionable investment ideas and tailored financial solutions
• Reporting prepare concise market views investment proposals and strategic recommendations for treasury leadership investment teams and senior management clearly articulating the underlying thesis expected outcomes key risks and proposed implementation approach

Who we are looking for

• Experience in cross-asset strategy investment solutions or derivatives structuring within a leading investment bank asset manager sovereign investor or other institutional investment organisation
• Experience developing portfolio hedging and tail-risk strategies within an asset manager sovereign investor pension fund or other institutional investment environment
• Demonstrated experience generating actionable investment ideas and developing independent market views across global financial markets including areas such as FX rates commodities and equities
• Proven ability to translate market views into portfolio investment funding and hedging recommendations supported by clear investment rationale and risk-reward assessment
• Experience identifying and evaluating directional relative-value and cross-market opportunities across financial markets
• Experience structuring financial solutions and implementing transactions using instruments such as forwards swaps options and other derivatives with the ability to transact where required
• Experience advising senior management and key stakeholders and communicating complex market views and recommendations in a clear commercially relevant manner
• Experience using fundamental analysis quantitative tools and scenario analysis to support investment idea generation and strategic decision-making
• Deep expertise in listed and OTC derivatives across rates FX commodities and equities including their valuation structuring implementation and application within investment and hedging strategies
