Citigroup in Dubai is seeking a Senior Corporate FX Sales leader to own revenue targets across the region and to manage a dispersed sales team. The role combines high-level client coverage with strategic market development and cross‑franchise collaboration across Markets, Banking, and Services.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in FX, multi‑product transactions, and leadership of complex client portfolios in geopolitically evolving environments.
Citi s Corporate FX Sales business is a market‑leading franchise serving a broad spectrum of corporate clients from multinational corporations to top‑tier local and mid‑market companies. The Corporate FX Sales Unit Head is a revenue‑producing leader responsible for a select portfolio of key clients and for the management of the FX sales team across several countries in the Middle East. Operating from Dubai this role holds full commercial and supervisory accountability for the assigned markets. The specific country and client scope will be defined based on the candidate s profile and experience aligning their strengths with the franchise s strategic opportunities. This is a senior leadership role that combines direct high‑level client coverage with the management of a geographically dispersed sales team and requires deep cross‑franchise partnership across Markets, Banking and Services. The role demands the ability to operate simultaneously at the level of individual client relationships, country‑level strategy and regional franchise development in markets that are commercially high‑growth but often geopolitically and regulatory complex.
Significant experience (typically 10-15 years) in Corporate FX Sales or a closely related Markets discipline, with a demonstrable track record of senior client coverage and revenue delivery at scale. Proven track record of leading commercial teams across multiple markets or geographies, preferably including emerging market or hub‑managed country environments. Demonstrated ability to originate, structure, and execute complex FX and multi‑product transactions, including FXO, structured hedging, and episodic/M&A-linked deals. Experience managing a business through geopolitically and regulatory complex environments, with evidence of sound judgement and resilience under pressure. Track record of cross‑franchise collaboration including joint origination with Banking, TTS/Services, and Trading and of building durable, integrated client relationships.
Exceptional commercial acumen and client relationship skills, with the ability to engage at C‑suite and senior treasury level with the most sophisticated corporate clients. Strategic thinking: ability to define a coherent regional strategy, identify emerging opportunities, and build the internal case for new initiatives. Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team across diverse cultural contexts. High standard of risk awareness and supervisory discipline, with experience operating as a first‑line risk manager in a regulated Markets environment. Excellent communication skills written and verbal across internal and external audiences, including senior management, clients, and regulators. Multilingual capability preferred, given the geographic scope of the role. Familiarity with digital FX platforms, e‑FX execution, and automation tools; openness to integrating AI and technology‑driven solutions into client and operational workflows.
Degree‑level education required; advanced degree (MSc, MBA) in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
