Job summary

Black Pearl in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Production Planning Engineer to convert confirmed orders and drawings into detailed, machine-ready production plans. You will coordinate with technical, procurement, stores, and logistics to optimize capacity, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery across joinery, upholstery, metal fabrication, and related processes.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-8 years in production planning within joinery or interior-fit-out.
Strong knowledge of BOMs, routing, capacity, and sequencing.
Ability to read shop drawings, BOQs, material specs.

Responsibilities

Prepare master production plans based on confirmed orders, approved drawings, material availability, site priorities, and contractual delivery dates.
Break down orders into detailed production stages: cutting, CNC, veneering, upholstery, metal work, final assembly, QA and dispatch.
Develop daily and weekly machine-loading schedules based on capacity, manpower, sequence, and delivery priorities.
Calculate capacity, cycle times, manpower requirements, and output per work centre.
Identify bottlenecks, material shortages, and schedule conflicts before they disrupt production.
Coordinate with Technical, Procurement, Stores, Production, Quality, Projects, and Logistics teams.
Monitor actual vs planned output and issue daily variance reports with recovery actions.
Re-sequence production on drawing revisions, approvals delays, material shortages, or machine breakdowns.
