Job summary

UAE Job Alert is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to lead production planning for an automotive division in Dubai. You will develop schedules, coordinate material availability, and optimize production flow to meet delivery targets while upholding quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related engineering field, 5+ years in production or manufacturing planning, and experience with SAP/Oracle-based ERP systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field required.
• Certifications in Production Planning or Lean manufacturing are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Coordinate production activities to ensure timely work orders and on-time delivery.
• Monitor progress, resolve scheduling issues, and balance workloads across lines.
• Plan material requirements and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of materials.
• Manage capacity, machine availability, and workforce requirements; minimize downtime.
• Assist in forecasting using sales data and historical trends; update plans accordingly.
• Support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives; monitor KPIs.
• Maintain accurate planning data in SAP/Oracle; generate scheduling reports.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics.
• Assist with new product introductions and production transitions.
