Job summary

Al Khayam Al Arabiah Tents & Shades LLC is seeking a procurement professional to manage supplier relationships within UAE construction and manufacturing contexts. You will oversee sourcing, vendor negotiations, and PO issuance to meet project budgets.

Responsibilities include evaluating quotations, coordinating with project teams on material needs and delivery timelines, monitoring stock levels, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in construction or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders in line with budgets.
• Obtain and compare quotations; conduct commercial evaluations.
• Coordinate with project teams to understand material needs and delivery timelines.
• Monitor stock levels with warehouse teams; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Handle import/export logistics and customs documentation where applicable.
• Mentor and guide junior procurement staff; prepare procurement reports.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Source evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers vendors for materials steel fabric membrane hardware landscaping materials etc and servicesPrepare and issue Purchase Orders POs in line with project requirements and approved budgetsObtain and compare quotations conduct commercial evaluations and recommend the best value suppliersCoordinate with project site and estimation teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelinesTrack order status expedite deliveries and resolve supply chain delays or issuesMaintain and update supplier database price lists and procurement recordsNegotiate contracts payment terms and service level agreements with vendorsEnsure compliance with company procurement policies and proceduresMonitor stock inventory levels in coordination with warehouse store teamsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers without compromising qualityHandle import export logistics and customs documentation where applicable common in UAE trading environment Mentor and guide junior procurement staffPrepare procurement reports and support management with cost analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field)3–5 years of procurement experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or related industries
• UAE market experience preferred, including knowledge of local suppliers and import processes

Skills

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Good understanding of procurement/supply chain processes and contract terms
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement software
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously
• Analytical skills for cost comparison and budget tracking
• Good communication skills (English essential; Arabic/Hindi a plus)
• Knowledge of UAE import/export regulations and customs procedures is an advantage
