• Oversee RFQs, purchase orders, delivery schedules and coordination with project teams.
• Coordinate with municipalities and authorities for technical approvals and delivery.

About the Company

Our client is an established infrastructure contractor specializing in water, sewage and associated civil infrastructure works across the UAE. Due to continued company growth, new projects and contract awards, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement requirements for their construction, installation, upgrade and maintenance projects in Abu Dhabi.

Position Overview

This position requires an established Senior Procurement Engineer with a strong technical background and extensive experience procuring specialist equipment and materials for water and sewage infrastructure projects. Working closely with the engineering, commercial and construction teams, you will take full responsibility for procurement across your assigned projects, covering everything from technical evaluation and supplier selection through to purchasing, delivery and coordination with relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing and purchasing of specialist mechanical equipment, piping, valves, fittings and associated construction materials for water and sewage infrastructure projects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), ensuring materials and equipment meet project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Manage the complete procurement process, including RFQs, purchase orders, delivery schedules and coordination with project teams.
• Liaise with engineering teams, suppliers, clients and municipalities to ensure technical approvals, material compliance and timely project delivery.

Qualifications / Requirements

• BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must already be operating at Senior Procurement Engineer level, with established experience in a comparable position.
• Strong procurement experience within water and sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, wet utilities or closely related technical infrastructure projects.
• Excellent technical understanding of specialist equipment, materials, engineering specifications and procurement requirements.
• Previous experience managing the complete procurement process independently, including technical evaluation, supplier negotiations and material delivery.
• Experience coordinating with municipalities and relevant authorities.
• Fluent English essential; fluent Arabic is a significant advantage.
