Job summary

Udrive is seeking a highly experienced Platform DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of our backend platform in Dubai.

You will manage AWS ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC, and related services, design resilient deployments, build observability and DR strategies, and collaborate with backend, mobile and product teams to deliver scalable systems powering hundreds of thousands of users and vehicles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong Linux administration experience and scripting.
• Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Manage AWS environments including ECS, EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, WAF, S3, Secrets Manager and related services.
• Continuously optimize infrastructure performance and cost.
• Build disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Design scalable environments capable of handling rapid business growth.
• Own the production backend environment and monitor application health.
• Build centralized monitoring and alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch or equivalent.
• Maintain PostgreSQL databases, backups, and performance.
• Implement security best practices and patching across infra.
• Collaborate with backend and product teams on deployment planning.
