Our client, a leading UAE-based contractor, seeks a Senior Planning Manager in Dubai to lead planning for a major airport project. You will oversee integrated master programmes, monitor progress, and drive recovery strategies across multiple work packages.

The role demands significant UAE/infrastructure planning experience, strong Primavera P6 skills, and expertise in delay analysis and EOT submissions. UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the integrated Airport master programme.
• Coordinate detailed programmes across multiple work packages.
• Establish baseline, target and recovery programmes.
• Monitor progress against approved programme and report to stakeholders.
• Analyse critical path and schedule risks; propose mitigations.
• Collaborate with Construction, Design, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Lead planning teams and ensure consistent reporting standards.
• Prepare look-ahead programmes and recovery plans.
• Support delay analysis and EOT submissions.

Job description

Our client is a leading UAE-based contractor specialising in complex civil engineering infrastructure projects. They have the enviable reputation of being an employer-of-choice, having one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the region.

As a consequence of recent project awards they have an immediate need to permanently appoint a Senior Planning Manager in Dubai.

The appointed person will lead planning and programme management for the Airport project, ensuring development, monitoring and control of integrated construction programmes, progress, resources, risk and recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the integrated Airport master programme.
• Coordinate detailed programmes across multiple work packages.
• Establish baseline, target and recovery programmes.
• Monitor progress against approved programme.
• Analyse critical path and schedule risk.
• Coordinate with Construction, Design, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Monitor procurement and design deliverables against construction requirements.
• Lead progress reporting and schedule reviews.
• Prepare look-ahead programmes and recovery plans.
• Support delay analysis and EOT submissions.
• Monitor productivity and resource requirements.
• Provide programme forecasts to senior management.
• Identify programme risks and opportunities.
• Lead planning teams and ensure consistent reporting standards.

Essential Experience:

• Significant planning experience on major construction/infrastructure projects.
• Airport/aviation infrastructure experience
• Strong Primavera P6 experience
• Experience with complex multidisciplinary programmes.
• Strong knowledge of delay analysis and EOT.
• Experience with major civil/infrastructure works.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or construction-related discipline.
