Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer - Infrastructure in Abu Dhabi to support planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and programme control of infrastructure works. The role reviews contractor programmes, analyzes critical paths, and provides planning information to the PM team and Client throughout design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and authority approval.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong Primavera P6 and Excel skills, and UAE

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Relevant experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel is required.
• Familiarity with baseline programs, progress measurement, and delay analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and monitor contractor baseline and updated programmes.
• Review logic, sequencing, resource loading, and contractual alignment.
• Monitor progress against approved programme and identify delays.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer, discipline engineers, inspectors, and planning team.
• Assess recovery and mitigation programmes and their effectiveness.
• Prepare look-ahead programmes (2–4 weeks) as required.
• Support time-related claims and extensions of time reviews.
