ALFIRAS General Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning, scheduling and progress monitoring of civil construction projects in the UAE. The role requires a strong background in project planning with the ability to manage schedules and align timelines with delivery objectives.

Key duties include developing baseline programmes, monitoring progress, performing critical path analysis, preparing progress reports, and coordinating with management and site

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction project planning.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience within the construction contracting industry.
• Previous experience with main contractors on civil construction projects is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Develop, review and maintain project baseline programmes and detailed construction schedules.
• Monitor project progress against approved programmes and identify potential delays and schedule deviations.
• Perform critical path analysis and develop recovery programmes and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards and project performance updates.
• Coordinate with project management and site execution teams to monitor project milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare weekly and monthly look-ahead programmes and track planned versus actual progress.
• Review subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Support delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims and project planning documentation.

The role requires a strong background in construction project planning, with the ability to manage project schedules, monitor progress and ensure alignment with project timelines and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review and maintain project baseline programmes and detailed construction schedules.
• Monitor project progress against approved programmes and identify potential delays and schedule deviations.
• Perform critical path analysis and develop recovery programmes and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards and project performance updates.
• Coordinate with project management and site execution teams to monitor project milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare weekly and monthly look-ahead programmes and track planned versus actual progress.
• Review subcontractor programmes and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Support delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims and project planning documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction project planning.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience within the construction contracting industry.
• Previous experience working with main contractors on civil construction projects is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, project controls and progress monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and coordination skills.

Important: Candidates must have relevant UAE civil construction contracting experience. Consultancy-only experience will not be considered.
