Job summary

Consultant HSS in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with 7+ years of UAE experience to lead project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project. You will review contractor schedules, perform schedule and delay analyses, and support EOT claims across infrastructure and building projects.

Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and project reporting is essential. Candidates must be based in the UAE and able to join within 1 month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline is required.
• 7+ years of relevant planning experience in the UAE with Abu Dhabi project exposure.
• Proven experience as Planning Engineer, Project Controls Engineer, or Senior Planning Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and project reporting; knowledge of UAE contracts (FIDIC) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project, including baseline recovery and look-ahead programmes.
• Review contractor programmes, schedules, progress reports, and resource plans; ensure compliance with contractual/project requirements.
• Identify delays, critical activities, risks and impacts on milestones; perform schedule and delay analysis and recommend mitigations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/periodic progress reports and KPI measurements; track physical and financial progress where applicable.
• Support EOT claims and other time-related contractual matters; maintain accurate planning records and interfaces.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, clients and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain interfaces.
• Attend progress/coordination meetings and provide updates on programme status, delays and recovery actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 7 years of relevant planning experience in the UAE, with proven Abu Dhabi project experience. Previous experience with a consultant in the role of Planning Engineer, Project Controls Engineer, or Senior Planning Engineer. Proven experience in both infrastructure and building projects, including coordination with developers, contractors, consultants, and relevant Abu Dhabi authorities. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, with good knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting. Strong understanding of construction planning, sequencing, CPM, resource planning, progress measurement, schedule analysis, and project controls. Good knowledge of UAE construction contracts and FIDIC principles. Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent is an advantage.
