Job summary

Allied Contracting LLC in the UAE seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. You will create and manage project schedules, baseline programs, and recovery plans, and report variances against the baseline.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of UAE construction experience, a Civil Engineering degree, strong Primavera P6 skills, and is proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office 365. Immediate or short-notice joiners preferred.

• Strong Primavera P6 skills with CPM and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules, baseline programmes and recovery plans.
• Monitor site progress against the approved baseline and report variances.
• Analyse the critical path to spot delays early and recover time.
• Assess delay events and prepare Extension of Time submissions with supporting records.
• Prepare resource-loaded schedules and manpower, material and equipment plans.
• Review subcontractor programmes and prepare look-aheads.
• Track engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, KPI dashboards and management presentations.
• Attend coordination meetings and give planning recommendations.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Strong Primavera P6 skills, with a good understanding of CPM and resource allocation
• Good command of AutoCAD, MS Office 365 and PowerPoint
• Clear communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with project teams, consultants and subcontractors
• Immediate or short-notice joiners preferred
