Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in the UAE seeks a Senior Officer, Payment Investigation to manage payment exceptions and perform reconciliations across Nostro, Inter-Branch, and internal accounts. The role also investigates discrepancies and supports risk mitigation with timely reporting.

The successful candidate will reconcile ledgers, follow escalation procedures, prepare SWIFT messages, and produce daily MIS and exception reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with BAU timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of banking-sector experience.
• Experience in account reconciliation (Nostro, Inter-Branch, General Ledger).
• Knowledge of SWIFT standards (MT940/MT950).
• Experience in exception management and MIS reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Nostro, Inter-Branch, General Ledger, card, ATM, CDM, and other accounts.
• Verify ledger entries against bank statements and branch ledgers.
• Investigate discrepancies, overdrafts, and non-receipt of funds.
• Escalate items per BAU timelines and escalation matrices.
• Prepare daily MIS reports and reconciliation dashboards.
• Prepare SWIFT messages for follow-up with correspondent banks.
