AECOM MIDDLE EAST LIMITED ABU DHABI is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to oversee large-scale construction projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include leading the on-site engineering team, reviewing shop drawings, managing budgets, and coordinating with clients and contractors to drive project success. The role emphasizes sustainable practices and BIM-driven coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 25 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance.
• Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes.
• Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
