Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to lead site supervision and oversee construction operations for major infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. You will ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in civil infrastructure, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in infrastructure, construction and site supervision on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations, QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the site supervision team to drive quality and safety.
• Oversee civil, structural, utilities and related works with attention to detail.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, method statements and contracts.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, authorities, and teams for seamless execution.
• Monitor progress, resources, schedules, and quality metrics.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and method statements promptly.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical and coordination challenges.
• Lead site, progress, and technical coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, HSE, and local UAE guidelines.
• Review completed works and oversee testing, inspection, handover documentation.
• Provide strategic support to the Project Manager and prepare site records.
