Job summary

KBR is seeking a Specialist Technical HSE for an Offshore Water Injection Project based in UAE (Abu Dhabi) with relocation to Spain and back. The role requires extensive offshore HSE, process safety, and risk management expertise to support FEED through commissioning.

You will lead HAZID/HAZOP workshops, review safety design requirements, and ensure regulatory compliance and audits are effectively implemented across brownfield offshore modifications. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification.
Process Safety certification highly desirable.
Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001) preferred.
15–18 years HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Minimum 5 years in Technical HSE, Process Safety, or Loss Prevention roles.
Experience in offshore EPC and brownfield modification projects.
Extensive involvement in HAZOP, QRA, SIL, EERA, and Fire & Gas studies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical HSE support during FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning phases.
Lead and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Tie Analysis, SIMOPS, ENVID, SIL, and risk workshops.
Review process safety design requirements and safety-critical elements.
Support implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Ensure hazards are identified, assessed, and mitigated throughout the lifecycle.
Review Loss Prevention philosophies and Process Safety deliverables.
Develop and maintain project risk registers for HSE and process safety.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and ALARP demonstrations.
Assist in offshore safety studies and audits.
