Job summary

Role Overview

Emtech is hiring an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage and support enterprise network environments in the UAE. The role involves enterprise networking, routing and switching, firewall management, network security, troubleshooting, customer support, and infrastructure implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN environments
• Manage Cisco, Aruba, and Alcatel switches
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and security policies
• Work with VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, ACL, and Link Aggregation technologies
• Diagnose connectivity, packet loss, latency, internet, VPN, firewall, and network-performance issues
• Handle customer incidents independently and resolve them promptly
• Perform firmware upgrades, maintain configuration backups, conduct network health checks, and complete preventive maintenance
• Support network implementation, migration, and infrastructure upgrade projects
• Coordinate with internet service providers and OEM support teams on technical escalations
• Maintain network documentation and prepare incident and root-cause analysis reports
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant networking experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer communication and technical documentation abilities
• Valid UAE Driving Licence
• CCNA or CCNP certification
• Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN networks, Cisco, Aruba and Alcatel switching, Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, network security, firmware management, and preventive maintenance
