Job summary

Siemens AG in Abu Dhabi invites a Field Protection Engineer to join our testing and commissioning programs for protection and automation systems across the UAE and Middle East. You will collaborate with global utilities and customers to ensure safe, reliable HV transmission operation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 3–5 years’ experience in protection and automation commissioning, knowledge of IEC 61850, SIPROTEC platforms, and hands-on testing with OMICRON

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
• 3–5 years in protection and automation commissioning.
• Experience in multicultural project environments.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 and SIPROTEC platforms.
• Hands-on with OMICRON test equipment and TU.

Responsibilities

• Test and commission protection and automation systems for Siemens projects.
• Prepare SAT/FAT protocols and technical documentation.
• Conduct Pre-FAT/FAT activities with customers for protection panels.
• Prepare commissioning procedures including method statements and testing protocols.
• Support product feedback approvals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.
• Perform fault analysis and root cause investigations on protection systems.

Your Role

International Challenging and ImpactfulAs a Field Protection Engineer you will be based in Abu Dhabi and work on testing and commissioning of Siemens Protection amp Automation systems across the UAE and the wider Middle East region You will collaborate with global teams utilities and customers to ensure the safe and reliable operation of high-voltage transmission infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Testing amp commissioning of Protection and Automation systems for Siemens projects
• Preparation of SAT FAT protocols and technical documentation
• Conducting Pre-FAT FAT activities with customers for protection panels AVR LIBBP HIBBP TIP etc
• Preparing commissioning procedures including method statements work permits and testing protocols
• Supporting product feedback approvals and continuous improvement initiatives
• Delivering technical presentations to customers and stakeholders
• Performing fault analysis and root cause investigations on protection systems
