Job summary

Sobha Constructions LLC in Dubai seeks a Senior MEP Procurement Engineer to lead end-to-end procurement for MEP packages. You will source vendors, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, negotiate terms, and manage contracts to ensure timely delivery for multiple projects.

Ideal candidates have 7–18 years in MEP procurement within construction, with strong ERP, SAP/Oracle experience and a solid grasp of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Building Services systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS) is an added advantage.
• 7–18 years in MEP procurement within construction, GCC/UAE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure MEP materials, equipment, systems and subcontract packages.
• Review specs, drawings, BOQs; prepare RFQs and evaluate quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
• Issue PO and subcontract agreements per policy; track supplier performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement reporting.

Job Purpose

The Senior MEP Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing MEP packages across multiple construction projects The role focuses on sourcing vendor development techno-commercial evaluations negotiation contract management and ensuring timely delivery of materials and subcontract services to support project execution

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement of MEP materials equipment systems and subcontract packages Review project specifications drawings BOQs and procurement schedules Source and evaluate suppliers manufacturers and subcontractors Prepare RFQs analyze quotations and conduct techno-commercial evaluations Negotiate pricing payment terms warranties and delivery schedules Issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements in compliance with company policies Coordinate with engineering planning commercial and project teams to meet procurement requirements Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues Ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with project specifications Maintain procurement records cost-saving initiatives and vendor databases Track market trends and identify alternative sourcing opportunities Support budgeting forecasting and procurement reporting
