Job summary

Careers International seeks an experienced MEP Procurement Engineer for our Dubai-based projects. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and coordinating procurement of MEP materials and equipment for construction sites, with emphasis on timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has extensive MEP procurement experience within the construction sector, strong supplier relations, and proven negotiation skills to optimize terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 35+ years of experience in MEP procurement in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment and suppliers.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire fighting systems procurement.
• Good knowledge of BOQs, technical specifications and submittals.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement-related documentation.
• Experience with ERP/procurement software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of MEP materials, equipment and services for construction projects.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
• Negotiate prices, terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers and MEP team on material requirements.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely supply to sites.
• Maintain supplier and procurement records and related documentation.
• Identify cost-effective procurement solutions without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with Accounts and Stores on invoices and receipts.
