Job summary

ARCO Electromechanical is seeking a Senior MEP Procurement Engineer with 5+ years of UAE experience to lead material sourcing and supplier management for complex projects. You will review specifications, issue RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency within ISO-compliant procurement processes.

Immediate availability is preferred; candidates should be ready to join a dynamic team and drive procurement excellence

Qualifications

• 5+ years UAE experience in MEP contracting or similar role.
• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify material requirements.

Senior MEP Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify material requirements.


• Source and evaluate suppliers/subcontractors for MEP materials and services.


• Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) to multiple vendors.


• Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in coordination with engineering and project teams.


• Ensure compliance of materials with project technical specifications and standards.


• Develop and maintain a list of approved vendors and suppliers.


• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.


• Establish long-term relationships with reliable suppliers for key MEP materials.


• Coordinate with MEP engineers, consultants, and project teams for material submittal approvals.


• Prepare and maintain procurement logs, purchase orders (POs), and tracking sheets.


• Monitor material delivery schedules and coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure timely delivery.


• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ISO procedures.


• Compare supplier quotations to ensure best value procurement decisions.


• Control project material costs and monitor any variance against budget.


• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.


• Prepare regular procurement status reports and updates for management.


• Highlight any delays or potential procurement risks that may affect project timelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant 5+ years UAE experience in an MEP contracting company or in a similar role.


• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).


• Immediate availability to join the team (Preferred).
