Job summary

ALEMCO provides integrated MEP and facilities services for large-scale developments in the UAE. The Senior Mechanical Engineer – Technical will support post-contract procurement, review specifications, evaluate vendors, and ensure compliance with project drawings, BOQs, and design intent.

Reporting to the Procurement Package Manager, you will coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and commercial teams to maintain technical documentation and trackers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years within MEP engineering or procurement environments.
• Strong understanding of specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Familiarity with technical procurement trackers and compliance matrices.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Support preparation of RFQs and technically evaluate vendor submissions.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, compliance matrices, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Commercial teams, Consultants, and Suppliers.
• Review MEP system interfaces and commissioning requirements during procurement.
• Support consultant approvals and ensure technical compliance throughout procurement.
• Monitor procurement progress and maintain procurement trackers and documentation.
• Ensure procurement packages comply with project specifications and standards.

Are you a technically strong Mechanical Engineer with experience reviewing specifications, evaluating vendors, and supporting procurement for complex building systems?

ALEMCO is looking for technically driven engineers to join our Post-Contract Technical Procurement team, supporting delivery of technically compliant procurement packages for large-scale construction projects.

Your Role

Reporting to the Procurement Package Manager / Head of Procurement, you will provide technical engineering support throughout the post-contract procurement process, ensuring Electrical systems comply with project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and design intent.

• Review mechanical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Support preparation of RFQs and technically evaluate vendor submissions.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, compliance matrices, and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Commercial teams, Consultants, and Suppliers.
• Review MEP system interfaces and commissioning requirements during procurement.
• Support consultant approvals and ensure technical compliance throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor procurement progress and maintain procurement trackers and technical documentation.
• Ensure procurement packages comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and governance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years’ within MEP engineering or procurement environments.
• Sound understanding of specifications, drawings, schedules.
• Familiarity with technical procurement trackers, gap analysis and compliance matrices.

Highly Preferred

• Experience within the MEP contracting or engineering sector, ideally within technically driven project environments.
• Exposure to post-contract procurement, technical submittals, or engineering coordination of MEP systems and equipment.
• Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
