Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Electrical, SCADA & Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Design Engineer to lead design, review, and coordination of electrical systems, SCADA architecture, instrumentation, and control solutions for water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires a strong background in utility infrastructure projects with proven delivery of treatment plants, pumping stations, desalination facilities, and related water infrastructure in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MV network design and rehabilitation.
• Experience in airport infrastructure, utility distribution networks, transportation systems, industrial developments, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in consultancy, utility companies, or EPC organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and rehabilitation of MV electrical distribution systems.
• Prepare load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and protection coordination studies.
• Develop single-line diagrams, cable routing plans, substation layouts, and detailed design packages.
• Design MV substations, distribution networks, switchgear systems, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Review contractor submissions, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with utility authorities and stakeholders to obtain technical approvals.
• Support planning and implementation of network upgrades, expansion, and rehabilitation projects.
• Conduct site inspections, technical audits, and engineering assessments.
• Participate in tender evaluations and provide technical recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and local utility regulations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical, SCADA & Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, review, and coordination of electrical systems, SCADA architecture, instrumentation, and control solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities.

This role requires a strong technical background in utility infrastructure projects, with proven experience delivering treatment plants, pumping stations, desalination facilities, and related water infrastructure projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and rehabilitation of Medium Voltage (MV) electrical distribution systems.
• Prepare load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and protection coordination studies.
• Develop single-line diagrams, cable routing plans, substation layouts, and detailed design packages.
• Design MV substations, distribution networks, switchgear systems, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure.
