Job summary

Abu Dhabi Insurance Brokers LLC seeks an Insurance Officer – Medical Underwriting to manage a high-value SME and corporate portfolio with a focus on Employee Benefits solutions. You will underwrite complex medical risks, leverage Excel-based models, and support renewals with data-driven insights.

You will collaborate with insurers, assist the sales team with tailored proposals, and educate clients to optimize coverage while maintaining high retention. Office-based in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medicine, health sciences, business administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in medical underwriting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices.
• Proficiency in common computer programs and applications.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture long-term client relationships to drive retention and growth.
• Use Excel models to assess risk premiums for members with overage and pre-existing conditions.
• Collaborate with insurers to secure favorable terms in a competitive market.
• Support Sales Executives with competitive quotes and detailed proposals.
• Prepare quotations (RFQ) to eligible insurers and follow up for timely replies.
• Manage high volume inquiries and deliver strong customer service for group medical needs.
• Lead client education sessions to maximize product utilization and satisfaction.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports on premiums for New Business and Renewals.
