Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a medical field.
• CPC certification (AAPC/AHIMA) or equivalent.
• 5–7 years UAE outpatient coding experience in medical centers/day care settings.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with DHA/MOH/DOH regulations and payer portals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% claim submission within the agreed time frame.
• Review outpatient documentation and code CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS accurately.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with DHA/MOH/DOH regulations and payer requirements.
• Validate insurance approvals, coverage policies, and coding requirements before submission.
• Cross-check diagnoses and procedures for consistency with physician notes.
• Collaborate with doctors and clinical staff to obtain missing information and clarifications.
• Support billing in resolving claim rejections/denials due to coding issues.
• Maintain updates on guidelines and payer circulars; generate coding audit reports.
