Candidates should hold AHIMA/CPC credentials and have 2–3 years UAE coding experience across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in medical or life sciences.
• CCS (AHIMA) or CPC (AAPC) certification required.
• 2–3 years of coding experience in UAE healthcare.
• Inpatient and outpatient coding experience mandatory.
• Knowledge of DHA rules and DHA claims guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Select principal and secondary diagnoses and services for submission and reimbursement.
• Conduct physician queries to improve diagnostic specificity.
• Maintain quality and productivity targets.
• Reduce claim rejections and ensure payment on first submission.
• Code for preauthorization and respond to payer queries with clinical team.
• Apply medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge.
• Maintain patient data confidentiality.
• Identify documentation gaps and query for clarification.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Meet department turnaround time and quality targets.
• Adhere to DHA rules and coding guidelines.
