Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. seeks a skilled Hospital Coder to determine diagnoses and procedures by coding ICD-10-CM and CPT for outpatient and ED records. You will use encoder software and online references, verifying charges and ensuring alignment with UAE regulations.

You will consult with clinicians and other departments, apply UAE guidelines, and address any coding or documentation gaps while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle systems.
• Ability to analyze physician/provider documentation to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Ability to utilize encoder software and online references for ICD/ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to outpatient and ED records and capture charges.
• Adhere to official coding guidelines for accuracy and completeness.
• Interact with physicians when additional coding information is needed; utilize coding references.
