AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP activities for EHV/HV substations (132kV-400kV+). You will ensure construction follows drawings, specs, contracts, and local codes, coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

With 12+ years in MEP engineering focused on erection, testing, and commissioning, you will review technical submissions, monitor progress, and drive quality across teams in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in MEP engineering with focus on erection, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to prepare and review technical drawings and calculations.
• Excellent coordination and communication with subcontractors, clients, and civil teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical engineering activities for EHV/HV substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV+).
• Ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, project specs, contract documents, and local authority requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections for progress, workmanship, and compliance.
• Review and approve contractor submissions (method statements, material submittals, shop drawings).
• Participate in progress reviews and coordinate with project stakeholders.
