Job summary

Atkins Realis Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead mechanical engineering activities for EHV substations and ensure construction aligns with drawings, specs, and local regulations.

You will monitor contractor performance, conduct site inspections, and review submissions such as method statements and shop drawings, coordinating with clients and civil teams to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field.
• 12+ years in MEP engineering, focusing on erection, testing, commissioning.
• Strong coordination and communication with subcontractors and clients.
• Ability to review drawings and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all mechanical engineering activities related to EHV HV substations 132kV 220kV 400kV and above.
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings project specifications contract documents and local authority requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance productivity and adherence to project schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress workmanship and compliance.
• Review and recommend approval of contractor submissions including method statements material submittents shop drawings and work procedures.
• Participate in progress review meetings and coordinate with all project stakeholders.
