Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance) to independently manage mechanical and hydraulic maintenance activities in the Fluids Department and related plant areas. You will troubleshoot breakdowns, perform root-cause analysis, and restore equipment to service.

The role focuses on Preventive Maintenance planning, shutdown execution, RCA/FMEA, and continuous improvement. You will supervise technicians and coordinate with production, stores, QA/QC, and external vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industry.
• Experience in independent maintenance, not just supporting engineers.
• Strong hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with PM planning, scheduling and shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage mechanical and hydraulic maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and hydraulic breakdowns.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Plan and execute shutdown maintenance activities.
• Conduct RCA and FMEA to identify and address failures.
• Identify and maintain spare parts, coordinating with Stores and Procurement.
• Monitor maintenance performance and drive improvements.
• Lead Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO docs, SOPs, and safety standards.
• Supervise and develop maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, HSE, and external vendors.
• Prepare maintenance reports and performance updates.
