Job summary

AECOM in Dubai is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to supervise construction installation and testing of mechanical works for stormwater drainage pumping stations and interfacing systems. You will ensure conformance with design specs, project schedule and safety standards, liaising with the Resident Engineer and design teams.

The role emphasises QA/QC, inspections, FAT/SAT and handover documentation, focusing on interface coordination between disciplines and adherence to Dubai Authority

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional registration (CEng/ASME) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Authority requirements (RTA/DEWA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works for stormwater networks and pumping stations.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and method statements for compliance.
• Develop QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and commissioning protocols.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, and control teams.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, DEWA and RTA standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors.
