Job summary

Duncan & Ross seeks a Mechanical Static Engineer to lead FEED and Detailed Design for static equipment in ADNOC oil & gas projects. You will ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes while coordinating across piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and HSE disciplines.

The role requires strong experience with ASME/API/TEMA standards, vendor data reviews, and support through procurement. On-site coordination with EPC teams and client-facing duties are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in mechanical static equipment for oil & gas projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC Group standards and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEED and Detailed Design for static equipment (vessels, exchangers, tanks, columns, reactors, separators, filters, drums).
• Develop and review DBM, Equipment Datasheets, MR, TBE, vendor drawings/documents.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes (ASME/API/TEMA).
• Coordinate with process piping, stress, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and HSE teams.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design reviews; review vendor data and calculations.
• Provide technical support during procurement and vendor clarification stages.
• Interface with ADNOC/PMC for clarifications; support deliverables per schedule and quality.
• Assist in resolving TQs during FEED and DD phases.

Job description

As a Mechanical Static Engineer you will be responsible for the engineering design and technical execution of static equipment during FEED and Detailed Design phases for ADNOC oil & gas projects ensuring compliance with project specifications ADNOC standards international codes and industry best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform FEED and Detailed Design engineering for mechanical static equipment including Pressure Vessels Heat Exchangers Storage Tanks Columns Reactors Separators Filters Drums and Package Equipment
• Develop and review: Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) Equipment Datasheets Material Requisitions (MR) Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) Vendor Drawings and Documents
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC Engineering Standards project specifications and international codes (ASME API ASTM TEMA etc.).
• Coordinate with process piping stress civil electrical instrumentation and HSE disciplines during engineering development.
• Participate in HAZOP SIL Model Reviews and Design Reviews.
• Review and comment on vendor data calculations drawings and manuals.
• Provide technical support during procurement and vendor clarification stages.
• Interface with client (ADNOC) and PMC for technical clarifications and reviews.
• Support engineering deliverables as per project schedule and quality requirements.
• Assist in resolving technical queries (TQs) during FEED and DD phases.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 815 years of experience in oil & gas projects.
• Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Design for EPC contractors.
• ADNOC project experience preferred (Onshore / Offshore / EPC).
• Proven experience handling static equipment for large-scale oil & gas facilities.
• Familiarity with ADNOC Group Company standards (ADNOC Onshore ADNOC Offshore GASCO etc.).
• Experience working with international EPC contractors is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of ASME Section VIII API 650/620 API 660 TEMA NACE and related standards.
• Experience with vendor coordination and package engineering.
• Ability to review mechanical calculations and design reports.
• Knowledge of materials selection and corrosion control.
• Proficient in engineering tools and software (e.g. PV Elite Compress MS Office).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Client-facing experience with ADNOC or PMC.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Previous experience working on ADNOC EPC Engineering Phase projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC In-Country Value (ICV) requirements.
