Job summary

Worley in Abu Dhabi seeks a Static and Package Equipment Specialist to lead all static equipment engineering activities across FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases. You will provide technical leadership for design, specification and procurement of major equipment including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators and package units.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 15 years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical, ADNOC offshore experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with extensive Oil & Gas/Petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 15 years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• ADNOC offshore project experience is required.
• FEED & EPC Phases experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, TEMA, ASTM, NACE standards.
• Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor management and fabrication oversight.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead static equipment engineering activities across FEED, EPC and detailed phases.
• Provide technical leadership for design, specification and procurement of static equipment (pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors, package equipment).
• Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, BID evaluations and vendor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and applicable international codes and standards.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation and Procurement disciplines for integration.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations and manufacturing procedures.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering and cost-optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical meetings with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Monitor progress and ensure deliverables meet schedules and HSE requirements.
• Provide mentoring and supervision to a team of specialists and engineers.
• Interface with clients, licensors, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all static equipment engineering activities during FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases of the project.
• Provide technical leadership for the design, specification and procurement of static equipment including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors and package equipment.
• Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications and applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA and ASTM.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation and Procurement disciplines to ensure effective integration of static equipment requirements.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures and inspection requirements.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering studies and cost‑optimization initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops and technical meetings with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Monitor engineering progress and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards and HSE requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and supervision to a team of specialists, senior engineers and engineers.
• Interface effectively with clients, licensors, suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university; or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• ADNOC & Offshore project experience is required.
• PMC experience is preferable.
• Experience in FEED & EPC Phases is required.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and codes including ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, API 661, API 660, TEMA and NACE requirements.
• Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor management and fabrication oversight for static equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments.
