Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Ras Al Khaima, United Arab Emirates. In this critical on-site role, you will lead mechanical engineering projects, oversee installations, and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Review mechanical design, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations and submittals relevant to the Mechanical discipline activities for various industrial and commercial projects.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and inspectors, fostering their professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE codes and authorities' regulations.
  • Implement sustainable engineering practices in project designs and execution.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, contractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines.
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Over 12 years of experience, including substantial expertise in engineering consultancy and familiarity with UAE local codes and regulations.
  • Proven track record in on-site supervision, project coordination, and management of mechanical, plumbing, fire fighting, LPG / NG, Fuel system works across diverse construction projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, their practical applications, heat load and sizing calculations.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, and industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD and BIM software.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
  • Commitment to sustainable engineering practices and energy-efficient designs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
