Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Engineer - Material for major Roads and Infrastructure and bridges projects in Dubai. The role combines inspection and supervision to ensure activities align with project specifications.

The candidate should have 10+ years in design, construction and supervision of water pipelines and related infrastructure, with ISO9000 quality experience and a BSc degree. This is an on-site position with opportunities to contribute to major developments.

Qualifications

10+ years of design, construction and supervision experience in water pipeline, sewerage and pumping stations.
Full knowledge of Emirates Dubai infrastructure networks.
Extensive experience conducting quality inspections and ISO9000 quality systems.
Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized university.
Dubai Central Laboratory approval holder.

Responsibilities

Review and approve contractor's materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
Prepare Material Engineer’s Daily Diary.
Oversee contractor’s daily activities and supervision of operations.
Attend factory visits and plant inspections as required.
Follow up testing and approvals from relevant authorities.
Review contractor’s testing requests and reports.
Review and approve contractor submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
Monitor material delivery performance and site usage accuracy.
Coordinate with contractor’s supervisory personnel on schedule and methods.
Monitor conformance with the contractor’s schedule.
Conduct continuous field inspections and report to the Resident Engineer.
Prepare written and oral reports on contractual and procedural matters.
