Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer

Responsibilities

Not limited to the following:

1. Prepares and issues material selection guides for medium-sized projects and participates in the issuance of material selection guides for major projects.
2. Designs, specifies, reviews, and evaluates supplier documents for cathodic protection systems.
3. Designs, specifies, and reviews corrosion control techniques such as painting/coatings and corrosion inhibitors.
4. Reviews and approves Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welding repair procedures for defected castings.
5. Reviews and approves the suitability of materials of construction proposed by bidders and provides comments to requisition originators to include in evaluation questionnaires sent to bidders.
6. Assists in the preparation and issuance of material requisitions (MRQ & MRP) for laboratory equipment and furniture.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including experience in material engineering within the oil and gas sector.

Educational background in mechanical engineering, metallurgy engineering, or chemical engineering.
